Summary
Donald Charles Keith Law was born in 1897 on Woodford Island, New South Wales, to his father, Henry Law, who later resided at Piggabeen Creek. At the time of his enlistment on 7th April 1917, Donald was working as a laborer in the Tweed area.
After serving in the Australian Imperial Force through the end of the war, where he remained overseas serving in the Anzac Provost Corps (possibly in Egypt) for 12 months before returning to Australia and was discharged in 1920. He briefly resided with his father in the Tweed area before settling in Brisbane, Queensland. Donald passed away on 15th December 1953 and was buried at Mount Thompson Memorial Gardens and Crematorium in Holland Park, Brisbane. His father honored his service by adding his name to the Tweed Heads War Memorial.
Military Service: Donald enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force on 7th April 1917. He served throughout the remainder of World War I and was discharged in 1920, at which point he returned to the Tweed region to be with his father briefly following his discharge.
Post-War Life: After spending some time in the Tweed area, Donald eventually settled in Brisbane, Queensland, where he lived until his death in 1953 at the age of 55–56.
